I am kind of a solo magical practitioner, but as I cut through this rat race in this city(Portland), I find I need a community I can go and vent to, or get help, find out about better jobs or anything like that, these are things that people go to church for, and the help they get through that network of their church, I don't go to church, Fuck church! But I deserve the same help as those people get from their group, anyway I am venting because I am pisted! Anyway I don't want to join any real pagan group, as far as I know, but I would like to join a group that supports me as the individual on their own pagan path, maybe like a friend would that doesn't know anything about majic, but it would still be better to find it in the pagan community, see I am a strong will individualist, or so I would like to think. As many are on this path, and to have to go up against a world that seems like it just wants to brake you down to shit!, I say fuck that! I will fight! Do my fucking best but pagan community, I need your help!, please answer my call! See I am frustrated because I don't know where to turn and I need support, even if it's just enough to just hold my chin up. Magic works for somethings, but sometimes I got to reach with any resource I can think of, shit anyway, can anybody relate to what i am trying to express? If so, I would love to hear from you!

Re: I need Portland Pagan support!
Wed, September 6, 2006 - 10:57 AMThis group is pretty much defunct at the moment. I would suggest, instead of ranting and throwing profanity around where it probably won't get read, start reaching out in the public. Portland Pagan Pride is this Saturday at PSU. Come to that. Other groups have public events and social gatherings. start going to those.
Ranting and raving with profanity isn't going to get you much of anywhere if you don't try and make friends first. -

Re: I need Portland Pagan support!
Thu, September 7, 2006 - 6:50 AMPMCP continues to be a credible concept. Finding a critical mass of people to fulfill this mission is just as much of a challeng as it is for the Salvation Army. It will take when enough pagans decide it's a priority...perhaps when the need is percieved as a priority. Portland seems to be redefining itself as a BM wintering ground...
I've found if I present myself socially appropriately and come explicitly to HELP, not just be helped, community will be close by. BTW, the PCMP mission is applicable anywhere--it was never intended to be limited to PDX.
