Enjoy an afternoon in the sun during the Summer Solstice
Celebration at the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary located at 7500
Wallace Rd. NW, in West Salem. A fun filled day of
activities is promised as you and your family - enjoy hay rides,
face painting with Eartha the Ecological Clown, feed and greet
the animals, have your pictures taking with Spring and Summer
the Solstice Goats, mural painting, meet JoDee the Rabbit, sheep
shearing demonstrations, a mini theater viewing the Lighthouse
Farm Sanctuary¹s own DVD, "The Sentient" and Farm
Sanctuary¹s "Peaceable Kingdom"...and more.
No admission fee, but a small fee may be charged for some of
the activities. Donations are greatly appreciated.
The Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary, a non for profit organization
is home to over 150 formerly abused and neglected animals from
around the state. Each have their own story - still each
have a desire for human contact and comfort. What a great
way to spend a Summer Afternoon.
